Well it’s begun! If you’ve driven by the bus station recently you would have noticed that fencing has gone up around the job site and movement is going on. Construction officially began this week. Some site work & concrete work is getting started. We’ll be posting pictures soon.
Interior demolition is almost complete. We are in the process of finalizing bids and permitting. Some initial construction could begin as early as the week after Christmas and for sure by the beginning of January. I am so thankful for our building team, architects, and GC. They have worked incredibly hard to help us move forward quickly. Looking forward to providing another update with pictures soon. Have a wonderful holiday!
Interior demolition has officially begun.
We will be doing interior demolition much of this month in order to begin construction after the Christmas holiday.
Please continue to pray for us in these ways:
- Wisdom for the building team
- Favor with the city
- Project to come in on budget
- Financial provision
- Construction to go smoothly & quickly
If you have any questions, feel free to post them as a comment on my blog or facebook.
We have finished interior demolition plans & have sent the work out to bid. If all goes well we should begin interior demo within the next couple weeks. Much of the construction process will continue with very little delay from that point forward.
We’re excited about the response we have received about the artists renderings of the building. It’s so cool to see the heart our congregation has for the city of Lubbock. We’re praying that thousands of people will commit their lives to Christ at our Downtown Campus.
Our Save the Humans series is two weeks in. Please be in prayer as to how God wants to use you in His strategy to “Save the Humans”. We believe that everyone wants to be more generous next year than then were last year. If that is the case, then what is your next step with God in your finances & giving? Through the generosity of eLifer’s we hope to accomplish some pretty incredible things this year.
